The Eagles played lights out on “D”. The “O” was horrible. The Saints are for real. Colts will be tough. Denver is for real too. The Doncos needed a change of command. They have it. The Cowboys are still in trouble.

No matter what happens the Skins always give the eagles a hard time. The Eagles played stupid football. They stunk. No running game. Give me a break. The Skins will probably beat Philly.

Here are my answers.

1) You are definitely correct in your accessment of the Chargers-Broncos game. If the Broncos win they will have a 3-game lead and don’t expect them to collapse like in 2008. McDaniels has the Broncos focused and their defense is allowing less than 10 points a game. Conversely, the Chargers might continue their housecleaning (see Clinton Hart) if they lose at home to their hated AFC West rival.

2) I don’t know what Smith is doing as he is the guy that brought in over half the players and he fired Marty to surprisingly hire Norv Turner. As is probably the case on the West Coast, I am not a fan of Turner and his teams nototiously underachieve. Maybe Smith’s power play backfires and eventually the Spanos family sends both Smith and Turner packing.

3) I am with you on the “Wildcat”, but the key is you need a back/QB running the formation that is a dual threat. I like Miami’s commitment to the formation — run it better than anyone — but I think other NFL teams don’t spend enough time in practice on it and it shows.

Another outstanding article from a guy that is always plugged in to what is going on in the league. An excellent recap of week 5 as well. I’ve got a few questions for you:

1) Do you see the Chargers vs. Broncos game as a must win for San Diego?

2) Do you see Chargers GM AJ Smith calling out his team and basically calling them ’soft’ in the media a sure fire way to lose the team and damage their performance the remainder of the year?

3) When are people going to realize that the wildcat formation isn’t a gimmick but a power running formation?

This was a big win for Denver over Dallas. Are the Donocs for real? Yes so far. Dallas will struggle all season long. The Eagles have a huge game against the Bucks. McNabb will play. This is good. Westbrook will get some playing time as well. The Eagles cannot afford to lose this game. Green Bay Minnesota game was a barn burner. This season in the NFL will be a wild one.

The Eagles need to be carefull against the Bucs. They can lose if they don’t play well. McNabb will play. Young players is the way to build the team, This is how Andy Reid did it in Philly. Look at all the good young players he drafted over the years. Singletary is doing a bang up job in San Fran. Watch out they will be a dangerous team.

Brady should be wearing a dress. This is bad. Great game between the Packers and Vikings. I loved it. Favre still has it. Peterson not so good. Russell is bad. he is worse than bad. A great Doncos win over the boys. I love it. Sanchez is the real deal. This kid is good. Carroll didn’t want him leaving USC because the QB situation was horrible- USC-Washington game. Go Eagles. I like San Francisco in this one. They look good this year and took down the Cards which I felt was a quality road win. The Vikings haven’t really played anyone good yet, so this will be a good test for them. It should depend on the QB play of Shaun Hill, as he needs to limit the mistakes against a D that gets a lot of picks, and can create some good pressure. check out our blog http://doin-work.com

Special teams killed the Eagles. Dallas will win. Detroit will win one maybe two games this year. Pats may have a hard time this year. There is some thing lacking with the way the Pats are performing. Some thing is not just right. I can’t put my finger on it.
